THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE
what i expected !
with a soft sigh, little harlow frowned and looked over the mess of cords at his feet. who would let them get so tangled? why would someone be so cruel and unthoughtful by leaving them there to be tangled up and possibly ruined? these thoughts troubled the teen as he sat down and crossed his legs on the battered stage floor. poking and prodding at the mess before him, harlow wilson tried to decipher the most productive and least time consuming why he could untangle the pile of cords and reorganize them. messy people. messy people. he repeated in his wistful little thoughts as he started his grueling task of cleaning up after the senior staff.
he was still just a kid, so he was given all the chores no one else wanted to do. even though he had proved time after time he was skilled enough to keep up with the older staff, harlow did everything he could to do everything they asked and have an optimistic attitude. he was just happy that they kept him around, in the end. they could have replaced him with someone 'more experienced' or just someone older and someone they would have less of a risk of liability. he knew it was a pain to have a kid running around, but he made it his goal not to cause more problems than he was worth.
with a small frown of concentration, harlow worked on laying out the cords and untangling them. he was so absorbed in this he didn't even think to watch the other people and see if anyone was around. he wouldn't know if anyone needed him, or if they were going to trip on him. his childish brain was sucked into his little task.
