is this a paradise? or is it just an illusion?
NOTIADAR ISLAND
Notiadar Island was advertised to trainers all over the Kanto Region as a 'Training Island.' It was very cheap, and the results were said to be great. People fell for it easy, and getting your team signed up was so simple - you drop your Pokémon off, and while you're traveling around, staff on the island train it; work it. Make it stronger. But, as soon as the trainers left the island... the front was off. The staff stripped their trainer's outfits for bright white lab coats, and radiation suits. Deep within the jungles of Notiadar Island, things other than training were going on. It was a trick. Notiadar Island wasn't a training island - it was a testing island.
Thousands of Pokémon were having dangerous chemicals used on them, causing some to become hideous mutants. The scientists' methods continue to get more disturbing, too - some Pokémon are tested until dead. Those who survive are kept in small cages until it's time for their next test. Somehow, a small group of Pokémon managed to escape the cages and now wander around the island, hiding from the humans. More Pokémon arrive, and the mutants warn them. So they do. They run as fast as their legs can carry them, away from the scientists and their radiation. Now, can you escape the clutches of the humans, or will your deformities get in the way? Or, can you keep avioding the chemicals? What will happen when they catch you and, what exactly are the humans testing Pokémon for?
